FI-NSP - Heating station on pellets and wood

General issues

-FI-NSP are automated and ecological boilers manufactured from high quality steel sheet (inside wall of 5 namely 6 mm and exterior wall of 4 mm), welded, made in eleven manufacture sizes equipped with pellets and wood automated burners.

- From the construction point of view, they are boilers with water chamber, with chamber-type burning point and two convective circuits of burned gases;

- Their construction permits the use in two operating alternatives:

Automatic operation, being endowed with automatic burners on pellets
    - On the back part of the boiler there is a pellets burner fed – in the automated operation mode – from the pellets tank by means of a conveyor worm.
    - The burner operates automatically receives the start command from the boiler control panel, is fed with the dose of pellets for ignition, the electric igniter and the fan start operating, and when the photoelectric sensor of the of the burner detects the light of the flame, the combustion time of the first dose of pellets starts elapsing, the electric igniter stops and the boiler starts operating normally, that is the procedure for the pellets feed and the time for their combustion until the boiler – installation circuit is heat up. The burner is commanded to stop, the feeding of pallets is stopped and the fan of the burner shall operate in the limit of the time set for the complete combustion of the pellets. Thus, the burner is ready for a new start if the command is received from the control panel of the boiler and the entire ignition – combustion cycle repeats.

Manual feed operation using solid fuel in the combustion process (wood, coal, charred coal, sawdust briquettes, wood wastes)
    - The fuel is manually fed into the boiler burning point and the combustion takes place by natural draught;     - in normal conditions, the operation of the boiler is controlled by the draught thermostat regulator adjusting by opening and closing the butterfly on the ash pan door the combustion air according to the needs of the entire system and, thus, the intensity of the combustion.

- equipped with two heat exchangers: coil for the production of household hot water (the FI-NSP 15 and FI-NSP 50 range) and cooling coil – protection against overheating (all range of powers).

- equipment certified according to the standard SR EN 303-5 marked with CE label;

- The boiler pertains to class III (the best) for efficiency and pollutants;

- designed for heating the buildings and producing household hot water.

- The standard pack includes the control panel, the draught thermostatic regulator, the pellets burner, the pellets feeding system made up of conveyor worm and pellets tank (0.5 - 1 m3 depending on the boiler power), safety valve, airing device, fire iron and wire brush, ash pan drawer, steel baffles.



Benefits

- high output with values up to 90%;

- The same boiler (burning point) can be used with pellets automated operation and with manual feed of any type of solid fuel;

- ecologic and more economic operation than the gas or liquid fuel systems. During the pellets combustion the same amount of CO2 that the tree absorbed in its life is released (remember that the combustion of 1 m3 of gas leads to the loading of the environment with 2 kg of CO2 and the combustion of 1 liter of liquid fuel releases 2.8 kg of CO2);

- savings up to 30 - 40 % compared to the gas fuel;

- increased autonomy when operating on pellets - depending on the size of the boiler, the monitoring of the system is reduced to weekly filling the tank and ash removal twice a week;

- safe operation and comfort – combination of the wood boilers safety with the comfort offered by the heat or liquid fuel heating; it is possible to exactly adjust the desired temperature of the boiler and the ambient temperature by series connection with the control panel of an ambient thermostat;

- the automation elements included in the control panel of the boiler and of the pellets burner enable the operation of the boiler without permanent monitoring being required, by the burner turn off and on (by the control thermostat) when the thermostat temperature is reached. The safety thermostat conditions the boiler stop when it reaches the temperature of 95°C, if the adjustment thermostat did not operate;

- for the manual operation on solid fuel the protection against overheating is made up of a safety changer completely immersed into the primary heating agent chamber and heat valve that enables the cooling of the boiler using cold water from the network. This system is actuated when the temperature of 95 - 98 °C is reached, by means of the thermal valve controlled by the thermostat. It should be emphasized that this system protects the boiler also in case of accidental power failure;

- Household hot water changer (coil) immersed into the primary heating agent for the range FI-NSP 15 - FI-NSP 50. Household hot water is instantaneously supplied, in continuous flow, proportional to the power of the boiler (simultaneously covers the needs of a kitchen and of a bathroom). For larger consumption of household hot water and for the boilers of the range FI-NSP 60 - FI-NSP 150 you can choose the household hot water for a boiler manufactured by Termofarc;

- It can also be assembled in a gravitational operation installation or a pump circulation installation using circulation pump;

Open system

If there is no permanent water source (even if a house water supply plant is being used), the installation option shall mandatory be an open system with open expansion tank.
VThe open expansion tank shall be assembled at minimum 1.5 m above the last radiator. The expansion tank is an open expansion tank according to I.S.C.I.R. standards as the solid fuel boilers do not have a prompt control of the combustion.
We recommend the use of the open expansion tank even if the system operates on the grounds of the thermo-siphoning principle.


Pressurised system

If there is a permanent source of water and the assembly of an open expansion tank is difficult / impossible, you can choose the option of a pressurized system with membrane (closed) expansion tank and cooling system (coil protecting the boiler against overheating and safety thermal valve).


The safety valve is mandatory for both assembly variants.
To extend the life cycle of the boiler by avoiding condensation and cheaper operation we recommend the assembly between the turn and the return of a thermostat-controlled recirculation pump.
For the production of household hot water we recommend the household hot water boilers manufactured by Termofarc.
