FI-NS – Solid fuel heating plant

General issues

- FI-NS are boilers with water chamber, with chamber type burning point and two connective circuits of burnt gases; they are designed for heating buildings and for the production of hot water using solid fuel (wood, wood waste, coal, charred coal, sawdust briquettes) in the combustion process; equipped with two heat exchangers: coil for the production of the household hot water and cooling coil – protection against the boiler overheating.

- The boilers are welded construction of high quality steel sheet (inside wall of 5 namely 6 mm and exterior wall of 4 mm); the outside shell is made up of 0.8 mm steel sheet and insulated with mineral wool;

- equipment certified according to the SR-EN 303-5 standard marked with the CE label CE;

- The boiler pertains to class II (average) for efficiency and class III (the best) for pollutants

- automated adjustment of the air intake for the combustion with draught thermostatic regulator;

- The standard pack includes thermometer, manometer, draught thermostatic regulator, safety valve, cooling coil, coil for the preparation of household hot water (range 17.4 – 58 kW), airing device, as collection drawer, sealing for the door made of non asbestos material, steel baffles, fire iron and wire brush

- it can operate in gravitational system or with circulation pump.



Benefits

- extended life cycle, easy to repair (it can be refurbished by welding unlike the cast iron boilers that are irretrievable damaged);

- significant savings by using solid fuel;

- increased autonomy due to the automation;

- large burning point and large feeding door enabling the use of big wood;

- protection against overheating by the cooling coil;

- unlike other boilers on the market, due to the position of the feeding door which is lower than the upper part of the burning point, when feeding the smoke does not go out into the boiler room even if the stack does not have sufficient draught;

- safe operation, regardless the conditions:
  - if there is a permanent source of water, you can choose the assembly option of membrane expansion tank, cooling coil, heat valve and safety valve;
  - The use of equipment type house water supply plant is subject to the mandatory assembly of open expansion tank and of a safety valve;

- to extend the life cycle of the boiler to avoid condense and for more efficient operation, we recommend:
  - the assembly between turn and return of thermostat controlled recirculation pump;
  - the use between turn and return of a 3 way mixing valve; ;

- in case of power failure and when there is big temperature difference between the turn and return, the structure and the material of the boiler do not allow its cracking, which is a widely encountered phenomena in steel cast boilers;

- for the range of powers 17.4 - 58 kW – unique system existing on the market to prepare the household hot water directly by the plant, without boiler (covers the needs of a kitchen and of a bathroom at the same time). For larger consumption of household hot water, you can choose an ACM boiler manufactured by Termofarc;

- you can choose between two packing variants:
  - the exterior shell is separately packed so that the body of the boiler is separately transported using a small sized means of transport;
  - completely assembled and packed on europallet.

Open system

If there is no permanent water source (even if a house water supply plant is being used), the installation option shall mandatory be an open system with open expansion tank.
The open expansion tank shall be assembled at minimum 1.5 m above the last radiator. The expansion tank is an open expansion tank according to I.S.C.I.R. standards as the solid fuel boilers do not have a prompt control of the combustion.
We recommend the use of the open expansion tank even if the system operates on the grounds of the thermo-siphoning principle.


Pressurised system

If there is a permanent source of water and the assembly of an open expansion tank is difficult / impossible, you can choose the option of a pressurized system with membrane (closed) expansion tank and cooling system (coil protecting the boiler against overheating and safety thermal valve).


The safety valve on the boiler is mandatory for both assembly variants.
To extend the life cycle of the boiler by avoiding condensation and fore more efficient operation we recommend the assembly between the turn and the return of a thermostat-controlled recirculation pump or of a 3 way mixing valve.
For larger consumption of household hot water we recommend the household hot water boiler manufactured by Termofarc.
