FI-MIXT - Mixed operation heating plant

General issues

- operates on:
  - solid fuel (wood, coal, sawdust briquettes, wood chips);
  - sawdust by the purchase of an automated system of sawdust feed – combustion also manufactured by Termofarc;
  - liquid fuel (black oil, diesel oil);

- reduced consumption, high output - 78 % operating on wood (measured for wood with 15% humidity), 82 % on coal, 87 % on sawdust, 92 % on liquid fuel;

- the FI Mixt type boiler is made up of steel pipe elements having the wall thickness of 3.6 mm, covered in 1 mm metal sheet and insulated with mineral wool;

- on solid fuel, operation controlled by draught regulator for the range of small powers (FI-MIXT 30 - FI-MIXT 70); large powers (FI-MIXT 100 - FI-MIXT 800), with fan controlled by control and safety thermostats;

- for safe operation, depending on the water supply method, you can choose the open expansion tank or the closed expansion tank (with membrane) and heat valve assembled on the safety coil;

- cooling coil, turn – return counter flange, thermo – manometer, the fire iron and the cleaning brush are included in the standard pack for the entire range of powers;

- The standard equipment of the boiler, for the range of powers FI-MIXT 30 - FI-MIXT 70 includes; the draught regulator and for FI-MIXT 100 - FI-MIXT 800 the control and safety thermostats, the fans and the interchangeable door for the subsequent adaptation of an automated sawdust feed – combustion.

- large burning point and large feeding door enabling the use of large sized wood (systems equipped with fan controlled by the thermostat reach high output and safety by controlled combustion and similar autonomy to the boilers with combustion by wood aerating);

- due to the efficient combustion, the amount of ash resulted is minimum; the ash collection drawers do not require frequent emptying;

- it is possible to subsequently integrate the plant into a heating automated system operating on sawdust (starting with the FI-MIXT 100 model);

- significant savings using sawdust (if equipped with the sawdust combustion automated system) a cheap fuel considered waste;

- safe operation regardless the conditions:
  - if there is a current water network, you can choose the assembly variant with closed expansion tank, safety valve and heat valve connected to the cooling coil;
  - the use of equipment type house water supply plant is subject to the mandatory assembly of an open expansion tank and of a safety valve;

- standard, - the heating plant has the return connection to the right front side ands the turn connection to the central back part; upon order, we can manufacture other configurations as well;

- for the range FI-MIXT 30 - FI-MIXT 70 the boilers are delivered assembled on europallets; for the range FI-MIXT 100 - FI-MIXT 800 the boilers are delivered with fixing system for handling when transported.

Possible connection schemes

Open system

If there is no permanent water source (even if a house water supply plant is being used), the installation option shall mandatory be an open system with open expansion tank.
The open expansion tank shall be assembled at minimum 1.5 m above the last radiator. The expansion tank is an open expansion tank according to I.S.C.I.R. standards as the solid fuel boilers do not have a prompt control of the combustion.
We recommend the use of the open expansion tank even if the system operates on the grounds of the thermo-siphoning principle.

Pressurised system

If there is a permanent source of water and the assembly of an open expansion tank is difficult/impossible, you can choose the option of a pressurized system with membrane (closed) expansion tank and cooling system (coil protecting the boiler against overheating and safety thermal valve).

To extend the life cycle of the boiler by avoiding condensation and for more efficient operation we recommend the assembly between the turn and the return of a thermostat-controlled recirculation pump.
For safe operation and increased autonomy, we recommend the assembly of an accumulation tank into the heating plant.
To obtain household hot water we recommend the household hot water boiler manufactured by Termofarc.
Moreover, we recommend the use of a 3 way mixing valve between the turn and return
